Intern, Global Youth Engagement: Youth Leadership

Position Summary:
This position will assist in the global expansion of Special Olympics youth engagement, especially youth leadership. This position will focus on creating and maintaining the technical assistance resources and structures to support Youth Leaders in implementing youth-led projects globally.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage Microsoft Teams “Teams” of young people globally to encourage conversations and facilitate information sharing
Work with a group of youth discussion leaders to train and manage their leadership on Microsoft Teams
Identify and create new youth-specific technical assistance and training content to support youth in implementing their projects
Create and distribute monthly communication to youth grant recipients
Oversee the updates and content creation of micro-websites utilized by team
Collaborate with the Manager, Strategic Communications on identifying and sharing regular youth-focused stories for social media (i.e. youth leader of the week)
Required Qualifications:
Experience with leading conference calls and meetings
Proven computer skills
Ability to work independently, as well as in a group
Interpersonal/human relations skills
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
Ability to travel independently
At least one year of college course work completed
