Business Analyst

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead Team Member Management processes for scheduling/timekeeping initiatives.
  • Responsible for centralized scheduling for all park departments. This includes creating positions, inputting line schedules and reviewing edits to identify any set-up errors as well as approving requests.
  • Develop and recommend process improvement opportunities and coordinate new systems implementation.
  • Track and analyz labor; identify trends; provide variance explanations.
  • Provide financial labor reports and analysis for the department.
  • Work in conjunction with department leadership to accurately forecasting labor needs. Assist with park labor, budgeting and reporting processes, including weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Provide back up support for timekeeping, review documentation for accuracy and make any necessary adjustments. Obtain necessary department approvals.
  • Coordinate efforts between Timekeeping, Human Resources and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports).
  • Produce schedules in accordance with company policies and federal/state labor laws.
  • Report out weekly on labor utilization and opportunities.
  • Assist in training users and maintaining SOPs.
  • Inform leadership of key issues, maintain communications with Manager and conduct daily communications with team members.
  • Perform a variety of general accounting support tasks in the department.
  • Assist in special projects as assigned by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Competencies
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of analytical, financial and planning work or related experience preferred
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office application skills, specifically with Excel to be able to analyze reports, data and processes.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to budget, forecast and plan for multiple departments within the organization.
  • Theme park, hotel or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Must have sound analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills and work efficiently under pressure and thrive in a cross functional environment.

  • Must have intermediate presentation skills.
  • Must have strong written/verbal communication skills and be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be able to conduct ad hoc business analysis.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects under competing deadlines Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 5 days per week with a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
