Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History Career Trek Program

To apply, please submit your approved resume to this posting and complete the Google application form (you will be redirected to the Google form upon submitting your application on Handshake).

The Gordon Career Center is offering an off-campus career exploration field trip to the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History. The Peabody is an extraordinary museum offering a much wider array of attractions and programs than just rooms with dinosaur bones . Students will meet a variety of museum staff, including a collections manager and others involved with the design and maintenance of exhibits, as well as staff engaged in the administrative functions of the museum.

Our goal will be to gain insight into the career paths of the staff, and how students can position themselves for entering the museum field. Our host will be Jesse Delia '04, Coordinator of Summer and Public Programs.

The Peabody is home to 10 scientific collections that tell the story of our Earth, its life, history and cultures. Its exhibitions, events and educational programs have enriched the Yale and New Haven communities, and beyond, since 1866. Through the Museum's doors you'll share in the discoveries of generations of scientists and adventurers past, present and future.
