Private Wealth Intern - Summer 2020

CARDINAL INTERNSHIP: New York, NY. A Wesleyan alumnus wants to hire a Wes student for the summer to assist his wealth management team. Excellent opportunity to learn private wealth management within a large Wall Street financial institution. Great mentoring and networking potential.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • participate in the wealth management team's daily activities
  • sit in on client calls; take accurate and thorough notes; summarize in quick and succinct reports
  • research prospective client's background information and write reports
  • assist with various projects
  • meet staff from other areas of UBS

QUALIFICATION/DESIRED TRAITS:
  • minimum GPA: 3.0
  • strong oral and written communication skills; must be able to quickly encapsulate varying concepts in a succinct report
  • intellectual curiosity; natural tendency to ask questions; eager to learn
  • posses a serious approach to work, while maintaining flexibility and a sense of humor
  • be comfortable in a variety of social situations; enjoy interacting with people
  • be genuinely interested in finance (note: prior experience with finance is not required)

ELIGIBILITY:
  • all class years and academic majors

NOTES:
  • the internship is meant to be held in the New York office, however, it may be conducted remotely, depending on status of the virus epidemic
  • this opportunity is not intended to serve as a pipeline for a full-time, entry-level job after graduation
