CARDINAL INTERNSHIP: Job is remote; not in Greenwich. State Senator Alex Kasser '88 needs a Wes grad to edit her re-election campaign videos. Great opportunity to add to your video editing skills while helping a great cause: supporting the re-election of the first woman and gay person to represent a conservative district in CT. Position is open immediately.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling. The hiring decision may be made well before the deadline.

TO APPLY: Please apply BOTH ways, steps 1 AND 2:

  1. Email your approved resume, one or two samples of your video editing work (links, you blog, portfolio, etc.), and a brief statement (cover letter) in the body of your email explaining your interest in the job and your relevant experience in video editing.
  2. apply through Handshake with just your resume.

Assist the first Democrat elected in 90 years from the 36th district in Connecticut to hold onto this critical seat in the state legislature. As the first woman and first gay person to represent a conservative district that includes Greenwich, Alex is a fierce defender of Truth, Justice, Equality and Democracy. She is also the #1 target of the CT Republican party. Her campaign launch video explains more and can be viewed here.

In this 2020 campaign, Alex plans to make 10-12 more videos that illustrate what she's done as a State Senator and the principles and policies she fights for. She is looking to hire someone with the software and skill set to edit video, adjust audio, add captions, titles and graphics, and possibly do some animation. She will do the filming and send footage directly to the editor. She is looking for someone who will be responsive and works well with deadlines and clear instructions.

Qualifications: video editing skills and appropriate video making software

Hours: approximately 10 per week, from time of hire until early November.
