SAT and/or ACT Tutor (E-Learning)
Zinkerz is an education technology company that specializes in (US) test preparation for international students. As such, we serve a truly talented and diverse group of kids. Through targeted 1-on-1 instruction, proven test-prep strategies, and developing strong pupil-tutor relationships, we open up the great universities of the world to our students. We launched a new, international online tutoring program for different subjects including the New SAT, ACT, AP Calculus, and AP English Language exams. While we are based out of Cambridge, MA., tutors reside and work all across the U.S.
The Job
Zinkerz E-Tutoring:
- Uses Zinkerz technology to target pupil weaknesses while cultivating their strengths
- Offers the tutor the chance to work one-on-one with students in hour-long increments
- Employs Zinkerz ACT and SAT web apps to complement the lessons and provide meaningful exercises (including homework!) to students
- Offers flexible scheduling for the tutor (sessions most often occur late afternoon/early evening hours/weekends)
- Enables the tutor to work with the same group of students on a fixed or fluid schedule.

Who We Want:
- Outgoing, energetic, responsive individuals who possess at least one year of tutoring or teaching experience, particularly at the high school level.
- College graduates (bachelor’s degree and beyond)
- People who are very comfortable with the following:
- Technology
- SAT material (familiarity with the new SAT = a huge plus!)
- ACT material
- Holding students to high standards
- Experience working with international and multilingual students (particularly Romance languages) is likewise a plus
- High school teaching experience is very desirable
Tutors will receive $25 per one-hour lesson. Tutors will be expected to commit at least 10 hours a week to tutoring, though as the tutor you will select your own hours and can of course choose to do more than 10!
