CFA Theater Technician

Role and responsibilities & Scheduling/Hours:
The CFA Theater Technician position works for the departments of Theater, Dance, Production Arts, and CFA and reports to the CFA Theater Scene Shop for regularly scheduled work hours typically between 1-5pm M-F while classes are in session. Students have the opportunity to work additional morning and evening hours when assigned to a performance in physical or virtual CFA venues or in the '92 Theater.

Qualifications:
Qualified Theater Technicians are organized, thorough, detail oriented, capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, and open to learning and honing a variety of skill sets.
This position includes setting up and running lights, sound, video, sets and props for productions and classes in the theaters on campus and occasionally assisting with online performances serving the departments of Theater, Dance, CFA, and other Wesleyan affiliated groups as assigned and assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of the Performance Spaces.

Supervisor:
Students will be supervised by the CFA Theater Manager, the '92 Theater Manager when working in the '92 Theater and led by the Assistant Technical Director and Technical Associate.

Evaluation:
Technicians will be evaluated on a semester by semester basis via a meeting with the supervisor. Experience is desired, but not necessary. All new applicants please fill out this application for consideration.
