JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities: Edit and upload about 40 submissions of writing from the National Writing Project’s Virtual Writing Marathon 2020 and publish them in an online website. The National Writing Project is the longest-running professional development program in the U.S. and the only one that focuses on the teaching of writing. There are 183 sites around the U.S.

This particular position is with the Red River Valley Writing Project at North Dakota State University, but the submitted works come from all over the U.S. For more information about the National Writing Project, see this website. For more information about the Virtual Writing Marathon, see this web page: https://lead.nwp.org/writeacrossamerica-a-virtual-writing-marathon/

The works of writing are short and require minimal editing. All documents are in a Google Drive folder. We prefer the use of Knight Labs Story Map as the application for publishing the works online. This is a good opportunity for an English or English education major, though the National Writing Project works with people from all disciplines, so this is not limited to English majors and would be resume-building for any student.

·       Desired/Required Qualifications: Careful editor, well versed in online presentation of writing, creative thinker, good communicator.
