Digital Marketing Intern

About Homestead


Homestead is a start-up focused on upcycling extra space in homes (garages, extra rooms, backyards) into rental apartments. We have one goal: help solve America's housing crisis.
Homestead designs, permits, & project manages the buildout of Accessory Dwelling Units (also known as ADUs, backyard homes, or granny flats). We make adding a rental unit as easy as saying 'yes'.
We're backed by Y Combinator (W20), Foundation Capital, and MIT's E14 fund. We area group of pragmatic idealists, and we're looking for high-energy team members with a strong belief in social justice, affordable housing, and fair living for all. All team members receive equity.

Role


You'll be working directly with the founders to help grow & refine Homesteads digital marketing footprint. Your role will be to manage, monitor, & maintain all digital marketing for Homestead. An ideal candidate is both creative & analytical — able to originate new strategies and organized enough to track, analyze, and understand the outcomes. Working at an early-stage start-up, you'll be able to directly contribute to marketing and acquisition strategies and work with other team members on creating new initiatives! This position can transition into a full-time team member.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new marketing strategies across paid & organic channels.
  • Run A/B testing for our phrasing / keywords / images.
  • Monitor, maintain, and create content calendars for Social Media channels.
  • Manage data & compile reports on web traffic, lead channels, popular ads, and CPC/CPA.
  • Analyze web & ad data to create customer profiles.
  • Regularly communicate successes and challenges to founders.
  • Collaborate and continue to improve Homestead's digital marketing techniques to better support growth goals.

Requirements:


  • Experience using Adwords and Facebook Ads
  • Experience using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Linkedin) for marketing.
  • Clear & concise written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to self-direct with a strong desire to surpass monthly goals.
  • Previous experience in Digital marketing, social media management, or data science.
