FALL 2021 INTERNSHIP (REMOTE) / NINE STORIES PRODUCTIONS
Company Information:
Founded in 2015 by Jake Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker, Nine Stories Productions is a New York-based production company dedicated to working with visionary storytellers in all fields. In the years since its founding, the Nine Stories family has become a lean and mighty force: sourcing material, developing it from the ground up, collaborating with artists, and shepherding the projects through release.
Nine Stories produces film, television, and theater spanning a wide range of genres and budgets. Our company focuses on smart and commercial pictures in both the independent and studio space.
Internship:
All majors and areas of study are welcome, but a strong interest in learning about the many facets of feature film and television development is required. Past experience in analyzing scripts and writing script coverage is preferred. We are looking for motivated, organized interns with great communication skills to work alongside our team. The internship is unpaid but is eligible for college credit.
Our interns assist with day-to-day operations of the company and provide input to the development branch. They will be expected to work from 10AM-6PM (local time), 2 days per week. Since we have adapted our workflow in light of COVID-19, our internship program for Fall 2021 will be facilitated virtually – interns from anywhere in the country are encouraged to apply! Tasks include but are not limited to:
– Analyzing script submissions
– Writing script coverage
– Tracking incoming submissions on our databases
– Assisting development team with current projects on our development & production slate
– Helping create research portfolios and creative decks for current and upcoming projects
