Brief Position Summary
The Center for the Arts produces and supports over 200 events each year, working in multiple art forms, venues, and modalities including virtual events. The Events Intern will work closely with the Assistant Director for Programs to produce select events, with a focus on logistics, advancement, and front of house functions. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 
The intern will work on events and projects as assigned. Duties will include front of house support, logistics and hospitality, scheduling, and other tasks as needed. Intern will also assist with virtual events. Notable events in the Fall semester include the 45th annual Navaratri Festival, and WesWorks with Forklift Dance. 

Desired Skills & Qualifications
Preference will be given to juniors and seniors, and/or those who qualify for federal work-study. 
Ability to work independently; attention to detail; strong communication skills. 
Willingness to learn and interest in the arts. 
Some events will require physical tasks such as transporting equipment, standing/walking for long periods of time. 
Experience with EMS (Event Management System, the university’s scheduling system) is a plus, but not required. 

Schedule & Availability
6-8 hours per week, schedule to be determined with intern. Some work hours will take place in the CFA, while some work can be completed remotely. Some nights and weekends may be required. 

Job Classification
Intern is paid $13/hour

Performance Evaluation
Training and feedback will be given on a consistent basis, with end of semester reviews focused on intern’s growth of the course of a semester.
