Studio Art Program Life Drawing Model Position
Rolling Hire: This position hires throughout the year
Duties and Responsibilities: Models for drawing classes are asked to model nude as students are studying anatomy. Models need to show up on time, and be comfortable in their own skin. Typically, there will be 20 minutes of posing interspersed with breaks. All body types encouraged.
Models must bring their own robe, sheet/towel, and must wear a mask.
General Qualifications: Applicants should be able to hold a pose for 30 seconds to 20 minutes. Students with experience in dance, yoga, or athletics tend to find this job compatible. Before applying, it is highly recommended that a student have observed a drawing class that uses the model so that they know what to expect.
Evaluation procedure: feedback from professors
Classification levels: $15 per hour initially, $17 per hour after 4 sittings
Scheduling and hours per week: This job can be sporadic. Depending on the model’s schedule, they could be asked to model for multiple classes in a week or none. Sessions will typically be the length of a class, 2.5 hours.
