Concert Committee Chair

Concert Committee Chair:
 
The Office of Student Involvement is looking for someone who is not only excited and passionate about the opportunities Concert Committee provides for the Wesleyan community, but also about program planning, teamwork, and leadership development. Applicants should be creative, organized, motivated, dependable and enthusiastic. Due to the nature of the position, applicants should be willing to work in a flexible environment where changes in the position, work, and/or structure of the Committee may occur throughout the year.
 
Concert Committee will provide a unique leadership experience to members working to coordinate concerts with their fellow students. It will be an excellent way to get to know students, staff, build leadership skills, and have fun in the process!
 
The Concert Committee Chair is responsible for:
·      Managing the committee budget
·      Assisting in hiring committee members
·      Providing leadership and direction to the committee
·      Coordinating committee meetings
·      Answer questions related to the committee
·      Maintain files and records, including managing the WesNest page
 
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse student, faculty and staff populations. Familiarity with various computer software programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Frontpage. etc.). Ability to maintain confidentiality. Most important qualities are dependability, accuracy, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working, reliable, organized student with a positive attitude. We are looking for someone who is able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while managing multiple projects.
