Student Employment – Project Assistant

Student Employment – Project Assistant
 
The office of Student Employment and Career Services is seeking self-motivated, well organized, and professional student employees who possess superior verbal and written communication skills to assist with a semester-long initiative related to student employment.
 
Duties & Responsibilities: 
 
·      Assist in managing and maintaining data in Handshake system and other project-related systems
·      Perform administrative duties in Handshake and other project-related systems
·      Manage and complete assigned tasks independently
·      Maintain communication with supervisor on the progress of assignments
·      Prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines
·      Maintain confidentiality
·      Other project-related duties as assigned
 
General qualifications:
 
·      Ability to work independently and efficiently 
·      Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills
·      Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
·      Strong time management skills
·      A willingness to learn
·      First-year students will be given priority but that anyone is welcome to apply

 
Evaluation procedure: Successful candidates will be provided with an overview of expectations at the start of employment. Student employees will be formally evaluated on set expectations once during and once at the end of the semester.
 
Application process: Apply via handshake.
Scheduling and hours per week: Student(s) may work up to 8-10 hours per week. It is predicted that there will be more hours toward the start of the position/semester. Hours are flexible but students must be available for regular meetings that fall within a traditional M-F, 9-5 work schedule. This position is for the spring 2021 semester.
