NGO Administrative Intern - Summer 2022

CARDINAL INTERNSHIP: Remote, with the possibility of travel in the US or Cambodia. Sue Guiney '77, Founder/Executive Director of Writing Through, accepted two Wes students this past summer. Sue is a dynamic Wes alum (published author, among other things) with a vision for helping disadvantaged people around the world. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your creativity, to learn how an international NPO is run, and for nonprofit mentorship. Learn about Writing Through's creative mission.

For additional information, email Sue at: sue@writingthrough.org

APPLY THROUGH HANDSHAKE with your approved resume and a cover letter, addressed to Ms. Kristin Schuster, Deputy Director. In your letter, explain why you're drawn to Writing Through's nonprofit work and approach, why it interests you and why you think you're a great fit. The writing sample should no more than one page, from a great paper or article you've written. Does not have to relate to NPO experience or work.

NOTE: Sue reviews applications on a rolling basis. Offers could be made prior to deadline. Start and end dates are flexible, from early- to mid-June to mid- to late August. Duration is negotiable.

Writing Through
Writing Through was founded and is run by Sue Guiney Wesleyan '77. It is an NGO which uses the creative writing -- poems and stories -- to develop thinking skills and language fluency in English, and, along with these, self-esteem, in at-risk populations throughout the world, notably the US, Cambodia, Vietnam and Singapore.
