Describe the value of the proposed Internship to the Agency/Firm:
We are seeking full-time summer interns who may spend time working, often simultaneously, with each of: 1) Credit research; 2) Equity research; and 3) Sales & Marketing. The work done by interns supports our Portfolio Managers & Senior Analysts in their research efforts, provides valuable help in expanding our client base, and provides a different perspective on all of Arrowpoint’s operations.
Describe the value of the proposed Internship to the Intern:
Summer interns should expect to: receive training in the investment research process, critically analyze investment ideas ranging from specific securities to alternative assets, produce reports through the analysis of industry investment data and firm performance data, assist in producing client presentations, and work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Job Description (should include: hours of work, job responsibilities, reporting structure -- chain of command, a description of the intern's "typical" day):
Interns will work approximately 50 hours per week on average. They will work on several projects at any time, each of which may be overseen by different employees. All interns report directly to the investment team members who oversee the intern program and these mentors are always available to answer questions, work through conflicting time demands, and provide ongoing performance feedback.
Management Goals: (should include: role of supervisor, frequency of intermediate reviews, expectations of intern, and an explanation of how the intern fits into the organization's goals -- please indicate whether supervisor works full-time or part-time):
Qualified candidates should be in the final year of pursuing a bachelor degree, should have strong quantitative and analytical skills, and should possess:
- Eagerness to learn and keep up-to-date with the investment industry and market conditions
