Internship - Universal Creative: Engineering & Safety - AVPL (Spring 2022)

Spring Semester: Internship dates are approximately from January 2022 – May 2022.
JOB SUMMARY: Intern will support design process of Show/Ride systems (Audio, Video, Projection, Lighting) and gain hands-on experience in attraction design, construction processes and AVPL systems relative to attraction design. Intern will be involved in a variety of Universal projects in various phases of design.    
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support project RI’s and Creative Management in design, development, and execution of a variety of Universal Creative projects.
  • Participate in daily team meetings and functions related to project development.
  • Participate in AVPL mock ups.
  • General engineering support.
  • PM Web documentation support.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: 
  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Senior or above.
  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
  • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred. 
  • An official transcript may be required upon request.
  • Preferred majors include: Audio Engineering, Radio TV and Broadcasting, Technical Theater/Drama, Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering
EXPERIENCE: 
  • Prior internship experience related to position is preferred.
Preferable skills for success in role include but are not limited to:
  • Education in the fields of TV, Radio, Lighting, Projection, Acoustical Design, Sound Reinforcement, Studio Engineering, Theater, and Live Show Design required
  • Preferred skills in technical theater or electrical engineering with an interest in audio, video, projection, lighting systems.
  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
  • Consistent attendance.
