Medical Video Editor

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assists the Associate Program Director with the development of all medical specific content. Reviews all produced videos to identify specific medical information in order to improve and increase clarity in an engaging style.

2. Assists with the development of all medical specific content. Reviews all produced videos to identify specific medical information in order to improve and increase clarity in an engaging style.

3. Works with program leadership and clinicians to validate any added information and enhancements to videos and other content.

4. Improves video quality by utilizing post-production techniques to increase the interactivity and quality of content elements. Creates medical slides to complement each video and identifies other ways in which video content can be enhanced.

5. Coordinates some voice-over recordings with voice-over artist, including the coordination of scheduling the recording sessions, set up of technical equipment, drafting scripts, and incorporating final voice-over recording into video.

6. Maintains database of all content material to ensure all required content development steps have been completed.

7. Works closely with the post-production team to integrate all content components into one final product.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required

-Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts of medicine and human physiology typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree including coursework in the Life Sciences. Must have a strong interest in medicine and healthcare in general.

-A working knowledge of video production, including camera operation, editing, and posting is an added bonus, but not required.

-Must have the ability to work independently, collaboratively and to manage multiple projects.

-Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential.

-Strong organization skills and ability to be extremely attentive to detail is a must.

-Strong technical skills, including experience working on Mac computers and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
